Craftsman Engine Analyzer manual

I am looking for a manual for the Craftsman Engine Analyzer #161210400. Do you know where I can get a copy? This forum forced me to select a make/model/yr. but that info is irrelevant.

I have a 1999 Honda CRV that stalled on the road and will not start. The starter and engine turns over and I have gas. How do I check the spark or fuel? Do I need to buy an analyzer?

It would probably be less expensive to get into a shop & have it repaired. An analyzer will give u the computer readings & more. If your problem isn't electronic u wont need a scanner. If it can help u solve the problem there is the expense of YOU DIAGNOSING IT, PARTS. You must know how to use the tools, it wont tell u whats wrong. Save the headache.

My check light is on did a smog tst and faild ,, they said evry thing was fine but could be the egr ,, how do i fix that and around what cost

The first thing you need to do is go to any good auto parts store and ask to use their ECM analyzer. They will loan it to you or come out and connect it for you for free!

The analyzer connects to a port (normally by the drivers side left knee area) and will read out the codes that are causing your check engine light to come on. The analyzer can also reset the codes and you will then be able to see if it is a real problem (the light comes back on) or if it was a "fluke" and the light stays out.

Copy down the codes and descriptions that the ECM analyzer displays because they can be a great help to a mechanic if you do need to have anything replaced.

2003 suzuki service engine light on

You may just need a oil change, check the owners manual. Or take it too a Autozone or O'reilly auto parts or a major auto parts chain. they will hook up a hand held analyzer to your car's ecm and read the code for free. They will let you know what that code means and go from there.

What is the dash light that looks like an engine outline with the word check mean.

Time to take it to a garage or dealer and have the engine checked with an analyzer and someone who knows how to operate it and interpret the results.

2002 Cadillac Deville 4.6 L engine is surging at idle. Car parts shop checked code with portable analyzer. Codes were P0171 and P0174. Manual that I have states "fuel trim system lean(bank 1)" for both...

i have a feeling the problem is not the sensors, they are reading lean indicates that air is getting into the engine around monitored system, basically a vacuum leak, which causes surging, also get a real time engine monitor not just a code scanner, some even have snapshot capabilities that will freeze the readings when something abnormal happens, just don't go replacing parts without knowing why

2004 vette, I have an engine analyzer module,

It should be right near the steering column under the dash. They are usually easily accessible -- I've never known GM to hide them. It may be behind a trim panel.

Engine Light is on when i drive

You'll have to run diagnostics on it. An analyzer is connected to the car through a cable and it analyzes the computer and spits out codes that tell you why the light is on. Auto shops do this, or you can purchase a home diagnostic analyzer at an auto parts store.

You can't tell what the problem is just by the presence of the "check engine light." Many sensors can set off the light. You can connect a diagnostic analyzer to the vehicle and it will spit out codes that you can look up to see what the problem is. That is what most shops do, or you can buy an analyzer and do it yourself. It may be harder to find one for a 1987 car though

They are putting the car true a comp to check what is wrong with the car ,but the mecanic that is doing it need one spicific code for the lancer ,to put in the comp to check the car can you help?

Without knowing the make and model of the analyzer they are using, there is no way to help you.
The maker of the analyzer may have a web site where you can find codes missing from the manual they have.
