The VIN should only ever be replaced by the same number it came out of the factory with. Check the VIN, it is in multiple locations.
1. check on the CR label on the driverside door opening
2. on us cars only, hatch door, each door, hood all have a VIN sticker for thief prevention.
The factory vin is embossed on a black metal plate.
Let me know if you need more information.

My brainbox was stolen and i want a perfect replacement for it

You might need to get a hold of your Lexus dealer, I know some companies set the ECU to the VIN # of the vehicle to try and prevent the selling of stolen parts. If this is the case with your Lexus then you will need to have the used ECU flashed to your VIN # before it will work properly, or you might even need to replace with a new unit.

Vin number location

Check the engine block area. Will not be a vin number but the block number should be able to be cross referenced by manufacture to vin number.

Where can i find the engine number

On the engine itself this can be difficult, but by law the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) must also be on a tag visible through the bottom of the windshield on the drivers side. Look for a mettallic tag there - that is your VIN.

I have a 1999 ford festiva. Where is my vin number

VIN should be on the certificate of ownership and the vehicle registration. there is also a tag that is attached to the car on the drivers side of the dashboard at the windshield and should be viewable from the outside of the car. There should also be a "federal build" sticker on the drivers door with the VIN.

Hello Babycakes.
The 8th digit in the vehicle identification number is the code for engine size.
The VIN # can be found on the drivers door sticker or at the base of the front windshield on the left side.
3.3 flex fuel is VIN 3
3.3 regular is VIN R
3.8 is VIN L

There you are. If you need further assistance ask me here.

What tranny does a 87 Suburban with a 5.0L have?

Automatic three speed 3L80 OR 3L80-HD or a four speed 4L60, 4L60-E or 4L80-E. You can have the VIN # checked at a Chevy/GM dealer to be sure which one it is. There are also numbers (may be on a nameplate/tag) on the trans, but difficult to see when in the vehicle.

Where VIN is located in 2007 Lexus RX 350?

First, either find your VIN number on your vehicle registration or car title or in vehicle maintenance records from your dealer. Additionally, you can find the VIN at various locations on your car. Frequently you can find your VIN number in one of the following locations: on the driver's side door jam (sometimes on the passenger's side), under the windshield on the driver's side, near the firewall of the vehicle or on the steering column. Other places to search for a vehicle identification number include various locations under the hood of your car.

I need a radio code for my Leganza.

Remove the radio from the dash, use a wooden stick so as not to crack the plastic when you GENTLY pry off the plastic. Two screws and radio slides out. No need to disconnect wires. Retrieve radio serial number, (white tag with black numbers on mine). Get this and your VIN number and send email to DaewooUSA. They will send you radio code. (nice folks, very helpful) Disconnect the POSITIVE battery cable under the hood. Wait a minute and reconnect. Your radio will now blink "coDe" Enter the number provided by Daewoo.
