Question about 2000 Isuzu Rodeo
Coolant level diminishing? Check to see if coolant is getting into the oil. Pull dipstick and check underneath oil cap as well. Look for a frothy brown/tan consistency. If so, head gasket is faulty. DO NOT drive the car. Other problems will be created.
White smoke is caused by coolant getting into the head cylinders and mixing with gas to be ignited.

White smoke out the tail pipe is also a tell-tale sign that your O2 sensors are on their way out, but not bad enough to kick on your SES light. If the above solution doesn't work, have a mechanic check your oxygen sensors. If your ses light (also known as the Check Engine light) is on, then the oxygen sensors are most likely offline. Replace upstream as soon as possible, to avoid catastrophic engine damage if the upstream is faulty. Replace downstream about 2 months before you're due for emissions if it's the downstream that's faulty.
