This will be your alternator belt, all you need to do is get a tention bar and undo the holding bolt and put tention on the alternator and then tighten up the belt, this will get rid of the noise

Well, the serpentine belt drives the alternator, power steering pump, AC, water pump. Belt sound could be from belt slipping, which would require a new belt.

But sound might be bearings that are worn out inside the power steering pump. Check PS fluid level.

My ford escort zx2 serfinteen belt broke car died, pushed car to parking spot, removed belt pices, now car dose not want to start, tested battery, battery good 12.45 , turn key no power to anything

Sounds like a wire was broken by the belt somehow.
You have some fuseable links and large fuses that power the components on the car.
I would look around for a loose wire close to the belt side of the engine, and check the fuses for power.

My daughters 2004 Pontiac Sunbird with the 2.2 ocassionaly wont start. She said when this no start condition happens the car turns over but sounds funny. It idles and runs out great. I have heard it hot...

It would not run good at all if it was the timing belt. In fact it probably wouldn't even start at all. It sounds more like loose bolts on the starter or the tension pully that keeps the serpentine belt tight. That one has to be replaced.

My fan belt is starting to make loud squeaky sounds, especially when I first start the car in the morning. What do I need to do?

the belt is strecthed out and worn and that is what causes the sounds from skipping on the pulleys. a replacment belt is your fix.

Loud screaching sound when Starting

fan belt or drive belt loose or worn. If it has tensioner, try replacing belt, if it has an adjustment to tighten, Inspect belt and if o.k. just tighten it, but I suspect belt worn too.
