HOLD light is on

The "HOLD" light on my dash came on. I have never seen one of those before and looking through the owners manuel it doesn't really give me any information on it, why it could be on or what to do about it. Can anyone else help? Thanks!!

On your shifter there should be a button marked hold, it probably inadvertently was pushed. It is a type of traction control device for use in bad road conditions, it makes you transmission shift differently to avoid jerking and breaking traction, and I believe it also locks out the overdrive. You should be able to just push the button and disable the function.

Thanks to all for trying to help with fuse for dash lights! I have looked in my owners Manuel and looked at fuse box diagrams and checked every fuse and still can't find a blown fuse!

Your year--make--model didn't post for some reason? That info would be helpful.
Checking fuses is good, but, you also need to check voltage on applicable fuse circuit, use a test light. Even if the fuse is good, if no voltage on the fuse circuit, the circuit is still dead.
Your dash lights may be wired through headlamp switch? I can't look up anything w/o more vehicle info.

Light on dash staying on looks like a engine worning light

lights come on when there is a problem that needs to be checked out at a shop, seeing as you don`t know what the light is for, first check the oil level then coolant level so no engine damage is caused then go to a shop to have it checked out.

I have a 2006 Pontiac G6 3.5-4 cylinder and I need to know whether I have electric power steering or if I need to be putting power steering fluid in. I've misplaced my owner's manuel and I'm...

Everything I am seeing indicates it is a regular power steering pump that is belt driven. I looked up replacement parts for it and none of the replacements had any electrical connectors on them at all. Here is a link to one of the pages I looked at:

This tells me it should have a pulley attached and you should have a belt connected to it and there will be some type of reservoir attached to it to fill with fluid. The only problem I see here is I am not finding a lot about if that is true. I have seen some post asking about the Pump being connected to the transmission which really doesn't make a lot of sense. Not saying it didn't happen, Gm and Pontiac have done some dumber things in there attempt to make it better.
