Is this an automatic or a clutch? Are there any check engine codes? This can be due to a number of problems based on the answers to the above questions. Also, have you checked the fuses in the electrical system?

I have a 2000 opel astra, serviced starter ,fitted again, now car start but switch off again, and then wont start immidiate again, please help

Sounds like the wires may not be hooked correctly on the starter; maybe one was left off. Or you may have blown the fuseable link in the cable. Check all the connections to verify they are correct, then verify there is power reaching the starter to verify the fuseable link isn't blown.

While driving the car cuts out, then will not start immidiately but will start again after a while

Your symptom is common to both fuel pump and crank position sensor partial failure. When it shuts off if you cannot hear the pump running when you turn the key back on, likely it's the pump. (they bind when hot and work again after cooled down or sometimes will also resume working if you bang on the bottom of the tank) Otherwise the problem is likely to be the cps which should be tested with an ohmeter while it's not working (instructions for that and all other components are in both haynes and chilton manuals).

I am assuming this is while you are driving the vehicle? The light should come on and turn off at start up, as the ABS computer runs a self check. If the issue presents itself while driving, it is likely a wheel speed sensor that is starting to fail. If the computer looses the signal it will turn on the dash light, when it sees a signal again it will turn the light off. Could be a broken wire between the chassis and wheel speed sensor or a bad sensor. If you can, check the ABS codes, they should be stored.

High idle and shut off.

Check either the throttle position sensor, or idle air control valve. One or the other is the most likely culprit. Could also have a vacuum leak which will cause a high idle.

After starting the vehicle is makes a grind sound for a second

Your vehicle is already giving a nocking sound. have it checked because it might pack up if immidiate check is not carried out.
