My crankshaft sensor went bad and my O8 infiniti G35X what does that mean when it goes bad is that a big problem I will have to get fixed soon?

when a crank sensor goes bad it can make the motor not run right or shut down this tells the ecm the postion of the crank and works in junction with the cam postion sensor as well as if the crank sensor has a crack in it it could over heat the sensor and shut down the motor. they are usually in expesive to purchase a crank sensor and fairly simple to change

My 2002 infiniti q45 turned off while sitting at a traffic light. Tried to start itbut in won't start. Diagnosed it and It showed cam shaft position sensor circuit malfunction. .code P0340...I replaced...

Did you check your fuel filter? Did you have a shop install the sensors? If they are not positioned in correctly, it won't work. Have you had your fuel pump checked as well? That's in your fuel tank. With this high end car, there may be a reset code as well.

Why wnont this car start, it is getting fuel to the rail , but wont start, what would he problem be?

-There are many things can cause not to start:
-Cam and crank sensor, fuel pressure, spark and compression.
-This need to be check step by step to find the problem before fix or replace.

Good luck

Crank sensor - infiniti fx35

Look at the rear of the oil pan on the left side. You should see the sensor with one (1) bolt retaining the sensor in it's place. (see illustration on right).

P1391 c0de 2002 dodge ram van no start

Code P1391 Loss of crank or cam sensors,P0340 No cam signal at the pcm. I would replace the crank sensor first. Your cam sensor is part of the dist. on 5.2/5.9 engines.
Hope that helps.

Crank shaft sensor? is this the same as cam shaft

no each one has its own job,
crank sensor is counting crank shaft rpms
cam sensor is counting cam shaft rpms
is there any lights coming on just as this is happening?
i think you should have the fuel pressure checked when it dies out,you need at least 50psi at fuel rail
