How do i open the hood manually the latch is broken. i have a black covered cable wire and the silver part of the wire is showing. i pull the latch nothing happens to release the hood

OK, if the cable is the part that broke AND it broke at the handle, then you can use a pliers or vise grip to grab the end and pull on it to pop the hood, if it broke somewhere inside the cable, then you will need some needle nosed pliers to reach under the hood and grab it there. if it broke off at the hood latch itself, then you will need to get/ make a hook or pushing rod to engage the mechanism directly to release the latch and then replace the cable the latch looks like this:

Cable replacement for window on 02 chev 1500

i assume its your drivers or pass window. if the cable broke you will need to replace your window regulator. you may be able to buy just the regulator and save some money. Most now a days come with regulator and motor so ask you local auotparts or check online. i can walk you through replacement if you need it.

I removed the driver side door panel and discover the cable that runs the window up and down broke. How to fix?

The power window motor is serviced as a assembly. The entire window motor regulator needs to be replaced. Aftermarket parts are available and the last one that I purchased was $100.00.
Good luck

1993 Chrysler lebaron converible rear window drivers side

Just bought a '95 with the same setup, and same problems on both rear windows.

There are 2 cables on each window, one for lifting the window, and one for lowering it.
The cable that broke is more than likely the lift cable.
I had to replace all but one of the 4 cables on mine. Once one comes undone, they tend to wind around each other, and everything else, and become knotted and frayed.

From your description, the cable didn't break. It was the plastic side peice of the cable retainer on the track. This is a deliberate design flaw on these.
Don't go to a dealer for a new cable or retainer.
The correct fix is to go to a hardware store like Lowes or Home Depot, and get a length of 1/16 wire rope and matching ferruls. Loop the wire rope completely around the retainer on the track and attach it back to it's self. It will never break again.

Power windows

Once this device has failed (broken); you need to replace it. Once the cables are off, the regulator is beyond repair. This is a common failure with this model Camry; I regularly stock several window regulators in the parts dept and replace 5-6 a month.
