Either you didn't bled it thoroughly or the line isn't correctly installed and it leaks. Check everything again and do a proper bleed this time.

My break pedal goes all the way to the floor . I replaced brake rotors master cylinder, and Break booster. I had to bleed the brake and still pedal still goes to the floor

You still have air in the system.(not bled properly) If you let the Master cylinder drop down to nothing then you need to bench bleed that before bleeding the lines again.

2001 Silverado 2500 HD Why Rear brakes don't work after I installed new hydro-boost power booster, master cylinder, calipers, and pads. I bled master cylinder before installing, and brakes beginn

Hello Patricia,

Have you checked the master brake cylinder reservoir for brake fluid loss?

I don't suspect the master cylinder as you have replaced it... but am more suspect of a leaking brake line or fitting which should have
been discovered when you had the system bled.

The only time I ever had a rear brake problem with a 2500 series Chevrolet was due to seized rear brake caliper guide pins...as your calipers are also new that is not your problem.

If your brake pedal feels spongy and travels to the floor board you have air in the system, a brake fluid leak or a failure in the power steering system, such as a broken hose, broken power steering pump drive belt, or failed pump, would result in a loss of pressure to both the hydro-boost and steering.

My back breaks doesn't work on my 2001 dodge ram 1500

Pull the bleeder out and get someone to mash the brake pedal down. If it blast out put it back in and then tell your helper to let the brake pedal back up. Keep doing this until you have all new brake fluid coming out . If it is still plugged up you will have to take out the brake pad pistons and clean everything inside. Make sure the bleeder is clean inside.

We changed the pads, rotors, drums and shoes on our 2001 montana, after we were done the break pedal goes to the floor, we were told to change the master cylinder and did,, but it didnt fix the problem,...

After you change brakes you need to bleed air from the brake lines what you need to do is find the bleeder valve its usually rite beside where the brake line goes in the calipers and looks like a grease fitting get someone to pump the brake pedal 3 or 4 times and hold it while someone else loosens the bleeder valve to drain the air out keep the pedal mashed until you get the bleeder valve tightend back up . Do each wheel until fluid comes out check brake fluid while doing this so it doesnt run out. Hope this helps

We just replaced all the brake lines on our 2000 Concord. We bled the brakes, but still don't have great brakes. Is there steps we needed to take when we bred the brakes. The brake light is also...

When bleeding a break system have one person pump the breaks around 10 times and hold the pressure to the break peddle while the other person loosens the bleed screw......The peddle will then go to the floor..............Hold to the floor until the bleed screw is tightened again and repeat until no air is in the line............Repeat for all breaks and always check the master cylinder for low fluid level and top up.................Hope this helps you out.

Brake pedal goes to floor, replaced front pads rear good, bleed brakes no help

Hi:
If you have replaced all pads, and see no leaks at any wheel, and have bled your brake system, then most likely your brake master cylinder has failed.

EMERGENCY BRAKE PEDAL GOES DOWN TO THE FLOOR WHEN ENGAGED

sounds like you have a worn set of park break shoes. they are located inside /behind the read rotors. if you remove the rotor and the shoes look fine then you can adjust them with the little star gear located on the bottom of the brake shoes.

Keep getting air in break lines

1. bleed your vehicle while the engine is running. 2. Check ALL your brake lines, connections and wheel brakes cylinders or calipers of any leaks or moisture. 3. If nothing happens, your brake masters or your caliper's pistons may be weak and needs replacement.
