Code P0700 = Transmission Control System Malfunction

Basically what that means is that a malfunction has been detected in the transmission and associated components. There is good news and bad news. The good news is it might be covered under warranty. You didn't say if your vehicle is still under warranty, be aware that you may still have warranty coverage on this since your car is just 3 years old.

The bad news is that the P0700 code really means that there are transmission-specific codes that you can't access with a regular code reader. There is a part called a TCM - transmission control module that works in a similar way to your PCM. The TCM handles the transmission electrical "stuff" and it stores further transmission codes.

If you want to pursue the issue yourself, you'll need to get your hands on a higher end code reader, or take it to the dealer or a transmission shop to get the actual transmission trouble codes read. Personally we recommend you get a shop to read those codes for you. The other codes are communication codes, we recommend you clear those codes after you fix the P0700 code and see if they come back, they could be related to the "main" transmission issue. The other good news is the fix for this may just be a software update that the dealer can do.

Good luck (remember comment and rated this).

Check engine light is on and I have a code po0700 what is that

P0700 indicates there is an issue with the transmission. You will need to scan the tcm for trouble codes. You can not do this with an OBDII code reader. You will need a high end multi function scan tool to do this.once you know the tcm codes post them and i'll be happy to help.

What does code po0300, po0400, po0700, po0135,po0141 and po0155 mean?

You got a mess

You got random misfires,egr,several O2 sensors,trans

All you could do is work one code at a time

You will need a dealer or repair shop

I could only help if i had the car & started to
diagnose it

I can't think right now about a common thing
to all those codes.

I have 2 codes that I need help with its a 05 GMC 2500HD.. PO0700 PO0735

A p0700 is a general tranny code you need to have a scan of the tranny to find out what is wrong it will be electrical but needs a complete scan most of the time trany shops have a free diagnostic, this should also show up the p0735 number which is the 5th gear incorrect ratio so its more than likely to be an electrical rather than a mechanical fault....hope this helps
