Check that the actuator motor on the transfer case works properly. The motor could have a dead spot like a starter motor.

Something is shorted out in your shift mechanism. First of all don't bankrupt yourself on fuses, go to an electrical supply house and get a light socket and put a 100 Watt rough service bulb and fix it to where you can use it as a fuse (plug in to the fuse socket) It want burn out and will take up any extra current and help protect your circuits, Then I would get a book on it and start looking for solenoids in the shift mechanism or maybe position switches. Get under it while not running and scotched and have someone work the snifter.. Some of those transfer cases have electronic controls inside them. I would check every wire and cable to see it was position the selector on the transfer case right first. If it is inside I hope you are friends with a good mechanic. I would almost bet the problem is on the outside though. Try that and I hope it will help you find your problem and solve it and if I can assist you in any way again please let me know.

Ok, I fixed it. I just reset the computer by taking the pos and neg cables off the battery and after 15 secs touching the two together. Now everything works fine.

95 chevy blazer 4low works..but when shifting into

My guess is that it is probably the actuator on the front diff. It may also be the buttons. I had the same problem with my 1999 silverado which it turned out to be the actuator.

I have a 94 S10 Blazer four wheel drive push button. My vehicle will not come out of 4hi or 4low.When I push the button for it to go out of 4hi or 4low I hear noise somewhere but it does not come out.Do you...

I had this on my 2002 blazer (4wd 4dr 6cyl) about a year and a half ago. I found two things out. First, have to try shifting out of 4lo while in neutral with foot on the break. It seemed to work better while on a small incline (like waiting to put the boat into the water, not on the ramp but the somewhere shortly before ramp).
I finally decided to try to replace the neutral safety switch after much reading online. It worked and has worked perfectly since then. The shops I took it to told me to put in a whole new motor for about $600. I think I got the safety neutral switch for about 50ish. I have a pit in the garage so it was pretty easy to get under the truck to the transmission and remove the existing switch board. I then just attached the new one and plugged 'er in.
Hope it helps, good luck.

94 Sonoma 4x4 won;t lock into 4WD.

yea its not shifting again like before ? sounds like your transfer case solonoid has possably gone bad again .. these are a sometimes dont work item .. It is what shifts the transfer case into gear and it might be a little worn or weathered and not letting the switch kick it in gear all the way from the N position. thanks Jerry holler if you need more.
