Take your cap off your reservoir and keep pumping it, don't let the reservoir go empty, or you'll have to start over. You can also buy a bleeder kit at your auto parts store, makes it much easier.

What would cause my clutch pedal to go to the floor board and not come up to the top ,

You most likely have a hydraulic clutch. Thus either the master or slave cylinder would have to fail to cause the problem you describe.

I was driving my 99 neon and heard a pop. The clutch peddal went to the floor and i cant get the car to go into gear

the hydraulic slave cylinder may have let go and will need replacing. its also possible that the clutch pressure plate broke or the clutch plate. you don`t say how many miles you have on the clutch. you also don`t say if it won`t go into gear with the engine running, which indicates clutch, or with the engine off.

Clutch pedal was ok, 84 Ford F150 4x4 351 W w/4speed, then went to the floor?

Sounds like the slave cylinder went out. If it's inside the bell housing...do a complete clutch job while you are at it.

Was driving home and pushed clutch in and it went to the floor, did my linkage break or just come off?

if the fluid is low, the hydraulic system is bad. plan on replacing the master and slave cylinder. If the fluid is OK, then watch the linkage when pressing the clutch pedal. I ASSUME it has linkage but I dont know what year or model you have? the trans will have to come out to service the clutch slave and in that case you may need to replace the clutch assembly. Plan on a new clutch, master and slave cylinder.

Check you Slave cylinder or any leaks in the clutch line. Also try to bleed the line for any air built up in. Good luck

Bleeding the clutch line

It sounds like you have air in the system. Either they did not bleed it correctly or you have a leak in the system.
If you paid someone to fix your car, have it towed back to the garage and bled correctly or leak fixed. If a friend installed your parts, find a new friend. Just kidding.

Clutch goes to floor and stays

The trick to driving a manual transmission is giving gas very gently while letting the clutch up. The clutch only starts to engage when the pedal is about an inch and a half from the floor, so any gas you give before that will cause unecessary revving.
To get a feel for when the clutch engages, try the following excercise. Put the car in first gear and bring the clutch up ever so slowly without giving gas. At a certain point you will feel the clutch starting to engage and hear a difference in the sound of the engine. If you're bringing the clutch up too fast the car will stall. If you bring it up slowly enough the clutc will start to engage and you will begin to advance.
This excercise will develop your motor skill to manipulate the clutch effectively and will allow you to know exactly when to give gas when letting the clutch up.
