Question about 1996 Ford Explorer
All of my gauges work in my dash but my speedometer does not move. I lost my owners giude and don't know if it's a relay problem.
Depends on if you have the cable type or a sensor type.
the cable type has a nylon worm gear which the end of the cable is screwed on to, could be worn ( it's on the side of the tranny).
It could be the cable itself, or on the back of the speedometer.
If it is the sensor type, the vehicle speed sensor operates the speedometer and needs replacing. ( that is screwed into the side of the tranny and has a wire connection). You might want to have it checked.
