I have an 86 toyota celica gt. when i turn the headlights on the driver side headlight wont lift. how do i fix it

A motor at each side raises and lowers the lights. You probably need to replace the motor for the driver side.

Head lights wont pop up

I would try checking the motor that raises and lowers the headlights and also checking if there is a fuse for them and if it is blown or not. Is it just one headlight or is it both?

Headlights wont stop going up and down what is causing this?

On my 89 Accord there is a switch button that will raise and lower the headlights. The location is the 1st button switch to the right of the steering column and has a light symbol above. The rear window defrost switch is with this 3 button cluster.

89 daytona, headlight motors stopped working

Manually open the headlight doors. There should be a knob on top of the motors, possibly under a rubber boot to turn manually to raise the headlights (safety feature). If they go down when the lights are turned off, listen for the relay click. I don't remember where it is located so you have to listen for the click to find it. The up relay should be in the same area so swap the two to see if they go up and not down, then replace the faulty one. If all else fails, leave them in the up position.
