Find a flat area near a wall and drive up as close to wall as you can with high beam on. Mark the brightest spot from each headlight. Reverse about 10 feet from the wall. Measure the distance and calculate the drop based on the percentage label on the crossmember (eg 6" if 5%). Put a mark on the wall at the calculated distance below the original marks.

Use a volt meter or trouble light, to test for voltage at the front lights, remove the bulb, turn ignition on, probe from the center of the bulb holder and to the side of the bulb holder must be battery voltage, if not probe from center of bulb holder to metal of car body, if there is now voltage the light has a bad earth, if still no voltage there is fault in the wiring from the lights to the indicator switch, or the indicator switch is at fault.

How to change headlight bulb for toyota avencis

You need to lift up about 3-4 black plastic "screws" that hold the black plastic cover in its place. Then you need someone with small hands to put one hand behind the light enclosure and open it by turning the back cover where its arrow points. Then open the metal holder that keeps light bulb in its place and pull the light bulp of from the cord. Then put new bulb to its place, test lights and put everything in its place in reverse order.

If the new light will not lit up, then use contact spray on the connector and jerk the bulp back and forth for awhile to clean it up.

How do i adjust the headlights on a 2001 ford ranger

There should be two screws to adjust vertically/horizontally. both headlight has those. before begining the adjustment if there is a leveling motor adjust it to 0 position.

you will need allen wrench( 4mm). i guess it is a special type for ford ranger headlight becasue screws are hard to reach. when you have proper tool you will turn screws to find correct pattern on wall.(some needs only philips screw driver)

to do this park car in front of a nice flat wall and have 10 meter distance between. direction car should be exactly perpendicular to wall surface. measure the height of hte center of head lights.
record this. mark same line on wall at same height. then find center point of your car and mark it on wall. mesaure distance between two headlight (center to center). mark same distances on the line on wall.

keep in mind that when you turn screws center of beams will move. you need to adjust 10 cm lower than your line and you will match the direction on each headlight. here is a drawing. ( if you have 8 meter of distance you will have 8 cm difference on your line and beam centers)

2000 gmc 2500. replaced all rear bulbs. 4 bulbs the same back up bulb different based on parts house research. Now have running lights and back-up lights. Have no turn signals no brake lights and no hazard...

Sounds to me like perhaps the wrong bulbs were used. single filament as opposed to dual fillament. have a look inside the bulb socket. If there are 2 contact points in the center , then you need a dual fillament bulb witch also has 2 contact points on the end.
Reverse bulb will definitely be a single filament bulb.

Replace center dome light bulb 2007 Mitsubishi

Hi, the lens of the dome light should clip off. If you look at the lens you should be able to see the reinforcing of the plastic where the clips are molded on to keep it in place. Once you have removed the lens the globe should come out easily. Just make sure that the corners of the new globe goes into the holes of the electrical connection points. They do not have to push through, but the globe should be secure between the connection points.

1992 Honda Accord LX Brake Light Switch Repair

Of course you can make this repair! I'm wondering about the faulty bulb that shorted out all the brake lights...not sure if that's what happened. Your brake light switch is located on the brake pedal, up above where your foot goes. It has a plug in connector which you unplug, then loosen the locknut where it attaches to the pedal.Put in the new switch, lock nut 1st, then plug it in. Note that the locknut is the adjustment point that determines when your brake lights go on. Adjust the locknut so that the brake lights go on when the pedal is depressed within 1/2 an inch (13mm)of pushing down on it. If the switch is adjusted without enough play (say 1/8 inch or less), brake lights may flicker on and off when you go over a bump.If over 1/2 inch, brake lights might go on only if great force on pedal is used (or not at all, yikes!).For good diagrams of parts check out South Bay Honda (hondapartscheap)web site. You enter the year, model, engine, and you can scroll thru tons of parts. If you have any more questions, do not hesitate to post it for me. countrycurt0
