Right next to the battery under the floorboard. if youve had water leak in the trunk you can ruin the amp. poor design.

Audio stopped working

It sounds like a computer problem. Every time you shut down, the audio chip reboots. Then when it warms up, it fails again. If it's still under warranty, I'd take it in for a chip replacement. If not, you may be SOL and have to replace the whole thing (or replace the faulty circuitboard or chip yourself..

Trying to hook up after market radio inside my 2005 chevrolet impala using a wire harness but it will not come on. I had another radio installed before this one but someone broke in my car and stole it. I...

I'm not a stereo person, I'm a wire chaser. I looked at wiring for your sound system w/o amplifier in database. Did you check radio fuse for voltage, use a test light, hot all the time. The radio also has to have ground, ground wires are usually black. Did the after market radio come with instructions? Some radios have an anti-theft lock out, if that is the problem I can't help you. Your radio manufacturer may have a web site where you can ask questions? Just to add, the12volt.com
has installer info. It's interesting.

'99 Suburban 7.4L Random starting problem

sounds to me like leaking injectors or fuel pressure regulator. Think about it -- you have puff of smoke (rich condition) and on a cold morning after sitting 8 hours theres no such thing as too much fuel. after sitting 15 minutes the rate of leak down isnt enough to flood it. but in 1-6 hours enough fuel leaks down to the cylinders to flood it (engine still warm enough to not be needing that amount of fuel without stumbling and chocking on it)

Radio quit working

does your system have power amplifier aside from your built in amp on radio? if yes, disconnect all supply then put new fuse. try this time, should not blow the fuse. then one by one, connect the supply fo your radio only, if ok, then next is the amplifier, if it blow the fuse, your power amplifier has an issue.

1998 volvo v70 radio displays off

Turn the key to position ONE (turn one position from where the key is inserted). The radio should be left on. Make sure the a/c blower is in the off position. There should be no dash lights on. It should reset somewhere between two to eight hours. After at least two hours it should read CODE again.

If you cut the power, or the battery goes dead it won't reset.

I hope this helps.

Radio won't restart after battery change

Sometimes it takes MUCH longer than the 4 hours (up to 8).
Neat system, huh? By the time it resets, your battery is dead and it will shut off again!!! No wonder the stock radio hardly ever gets stolen. Put a trickle charger on the battery, and leave it on for longer. (Make sure your insurance covers theft lol, I did it once and forgot that the key was in my car in the driveway for a full day)
