Question about 2000 Mazda Protege
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Mechanic (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I recommend that you go to any Auto Parts store and by a repair user manual for your 2000 Mazda Protege. They have pictures and arrows and stuff that you will need to do the whole job. The non-Mazda version will cost approximately $15.00.
Because of the tensioner that may come off when while you are doing these belt changes, it is too complicated to talk you through this.
But with the manual, I am confident you can change them.

SOURCE: where do i put the a/c freon in?
look towards the front of your engine. by the radiator there should be a little metal hose with a small twist cap on it. if you purchase a charge kit from your local auto parts store, it can come with a hose built on, and it will only fit on one connector.
make sure to get one that has a gauge on it tho, you don't want to overfill
