SOURCE: Dim Headlights/headlight problem
if that is the case i believe your altenator is bad and draining the battery the altenator runs the engine and charges the battery the battery starts the vehicle and runs all the electronics and accessories the regulator is not working and therefore the battery is not getting charged and as the vehicle is running and the lights are on they will get dimmer and dimmer until there is no voltage left in the battery. reploace the altenator and the problem will go away...please rate this

For some reason, Toyota chooses to wire their headlamps differently than domestic cars, with dual fuses for the headlamps, and a common ground for each headlamp...The reason that the lamp was dim is the bulb was getting power thru a "backfeed" condition, due to the poor ground. The fuse may have blown due to the poor ground, also.

Gasoline smells can be very dangerous, Can you smell it more after filling your tank up? If so there is a leak in the filler tube that leads to you gas tank. It needs to be replaced immediately. If not on the injector rail there is a pressure regulator that can leak or there can actually be leak on one of the injectors itself. Please remember if you can smell gasoline there is DEFINITELY a leak in the system. Check all fuel lines on the bottom check gas filter injector rail and gas tank carefully you should find the leak. Good luck

Open the hood find where the light are, there is a black socket going to them turn to the left and pull out,do not touch the new bulb with your fingers or the oil from them will burn the bulb out.

Your alternator may be going bad. Test your battery while it is running with a voltmeter. It should be above 13.0 volts. I would check that first.
