Because bmw think your going to load up the rear they have fitted hard shockers.you could fit koni adjustable shockers then you can adjust them depending upon load.......BUT, you will change the handling of the car, unless you change the settings according to the type of driving you do(my wife is a very gentle driver and does not need such a sporting car),

2014 bmw 1200rt rear suspension went solid when pulled down with straps it freed of is it safe to ride? thank you for any info.

Why did you ratchet it down till it was hard you only need to ratchet it down enough to stop it moving around
if it returned to the normal height after releasing the straps and when you sit on it and bounce on the seat and it compresses and rebounds ok it should be safe to ride
I have had my gs strapped down multiple times with no I'll effects

2005 bmw 325i water in rear passenger floor after rain storm

Not a BMW expert here.
If it has a sunroof it could be a problem with the roof drain.
Could also be a problem with a door gasket letting water run down a door pillar.

On a battery for a 1994 BMW 530 Touring, where are the negative and positive poles located when battery is in place, under the rear seat?

Golden rule with batterys..

The Positive terminal is ALWAYS physically larger that the Negative.(ie larger battery post ) The Negative will be the EARTH connection ( bolted to car body and engine) There may be hard to see (-) or (+) on battery leads . Colours do not matter either as manufacturers vary on this !
Good Luck

Rear wiper and washer of BMW 5 E39 not working

I had the same problem. I thought it was an issue with a blown fuse, but also noticed that the rear wiper was very stiff.
I solved it by opening the rear window (so the wiper is not clicked into the motor) then squirt some WD40 into the wiper mechanism (I put the oil in from the outside). Gently move the wiper from side to side until it starts to free up - after a couple of movements the wiper should be moving freely again. No issues since.

At the same time, check that the washer jet is correctly angled. Mine was squirting directly into the wiper which may have caused it to rust up a bit.

Need to see a diagram of how to change rear wheel bearing on my 320 touring 1996

BMW uses CV shafts for the rear drive axle, the wheel bearing there is a pressed in factory sealed bearing and not removable other than using a press to remove it, to press it you will need to remove the lower control arm.
