SOURCE: engine fans dont work

a few things to check here. You need to find the short it could be anywhere between your fuse and the motor for the fan (fans) itself. There is a temperature sensor that controls the fan it may or may not be separate from the one that displays the temp of your coolant on your instrument cluster.

2002 chevy malibu blows 10 amp fuse seconds after start, controls ac cool fan and gas gauge and temp gauge

Are you sure ?
The gauges and the blower should be on different circuits. The blower uses a 30amp fuse or bigger.

Limp mode

Have to find out why the fuse blows
What is wrong with that circuit
Then you see if you have another problem
causing it to go into limp mode
If you look at a wiring diagram & had a factory
manua,l you could learn the vehicle strategy
Without both, your pretty much done & have to
pay a shop that won't educate you, if they even
have a clue

INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND BLOWER MOTOR QUIT TOGETHER.

Belief it or not your problem may be at one off your electric fans, also a possibility your a/c compressor coil shorted, so disconnect your a/c condenser fan and your a/c compressor check them for short and replace has needed, here is the logic every time you turn your heater on defrost it will cycle your a/c and it will blow your fuse, there is a circuit breaker on fuse box by left kick panel way up make sure it is in good condition push on it and you will feel it click if trigger, is not spring back it may be at fault to, replace it. good luck

Heater fan not working in a 1996 Chevy S-10

I looked at wiring diagrams at bbbindustries: the orange wire to the 20 amp htr fuse is direct from the ignition switch. You might check: that orange wire splices to the 10 amp brake fuse (fuse #12). check if that also has any voltage problems.
There are two black fusible links that supply power to the ignition switch. the fusible links come from the battery junction block.
