Will a 99 auto trans work in my 95 jimmy 4x4 ?


If it came of the same size engine and is also a 4X4 it should work if not the same size engine the computers are different and will not work

My 95 jimmy wont run, any idea's/


seams to be a big problem these days with the jimmy. they tell me the computer goes into what they call a limp mod thinking your car has a problem to get you some were safe then shuts down. try disconnecting the battery both side's then disconnect the black side of the computer for 15 minutes or so then reconnect the computer then the battery then try it . the computer is on the passenger side fender well under the hood. no body can tell me why it does this it just does sorry.

95 jimmy has rough idle and no communication from the computer to the data connector i have replaced the computer and no difference....

as you already replaced the computer please check the data connectors. the wires in it might have damaged and the signals are intrepted. so please check

THat goes to your map sensor. If you look very closely under your hood there will be a vac line diagram there

How do I get the trouble codes from a 1995 GMc Jimmy? I has the obdII connector but my code reader wont communicate.


some code readers have problems reading the 94 -95 vehicles wasnt till 96 that it was required to have the 16 pin obdll system -but check the connection and try again if it still tells u cant communicate take truck to an auto store for a scan some such as auto zone/ advanced auto do it for free and also have ur scanner checked could have a bad wire connector
