Change the oil sending unit,it is most likely the problem, the sending unit(oil)has a fuel shut off built in it,so change it to see what happens.Too much oil is not the problem, but needs to be drained down to full level.

2007 chevy Silverado 1500 LT 6.0 engine lite came on running rough now says no oil pressure all fluids OK

Have the codes read first. This will point you in a direction to look. If running bad enough at idle, the low oil pressure light came come on.

Somethings to do when considering purchasing a vehicle

First thing give it a good external look for any signs of accidents, such as dents or slightly different paint colors as there can be hidden damage in the suspension, frame or body. Also check the status of the title (salvaged or not).

Next start the vehicle and listen to how it runs. It should sound smooth with no rattling or ticking or other weird noises. Older cars make a lot of different noises but common sense should tell you when something is wrong. Many newer cars you can barely tell that they are running. Also check to see if the check engine light is on or any other warning lights.
For most cars with automatic transmissions: with the vehicle running, shift through all the gears twice and check transmission fluid with vehicle in neutral (parking brake on). Shut the vehicle off and check the oil.
It is a good idea to check all the lights (head lights, running lights, brake lights, turn signals, hazard lights and reverse lights.) and the horn at this time.
Next give it a test drive. Try to go a few miles on the street, through speed bumps & dips, and on the freeway. Listen for any abnormal sounds when accelerating, shifting, turning, braking, and going over bumps. Also watch the gauges for any warnings and overheating.
When finished with the test drive take a look at the tail pipe before shutting it off there should be no smoke coming out.
These steps and common sense will give you a pretty good indication of the condition of the vehicle.

My interior cab and dashlights keep popping the fuse.i have a dash light that works even though it appears to bo on the same circuit is it correct that my running lights and interior lites are on the

Sounds like something is not properly grounded, or an electrical component going bad. This can be difficult to diagnose in modern vehicles (with miles of wires and lots of circuitry). I recommend you let a professional mechanic run an electronic diagnostic on your vehicle. It may be as simple as a short somewhere, or something more serious like an electric motor (wipers, windows, etc.) going bad, or an overload from a stereo system, etc. It can even be caused by a bulb somewhere with a bad element. Do NOT simply put in a higher-rated fuse, as this might mask the true cause of the problem temporarily, but makes your vehicle less safe. Do not ignore this problem.

My 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT has a flashing and sometimes a Solid SES light and runs rough

Usually with the newer vehicles when it starts to run rough or idle poorly it's time for a tune up, that will also make the check engine light come on on some vehicles, it needing an oil change can also cause the light

Engine light on, and runs rough

It must be something else making your check engine light come on.

My 1991 Camaro rs 3.1 runs rough in gear but not at idle, and fuel pump runs the same without a fuel pump relay, I have 10-12 lbs of fuel pressure at intake-whether engine running at idle or just key on....

How did you measure the fuel pressure, and what is the factory specification for fuel pressure? You are correct, it should NOT run without a fuel pump relay. The fuel pump relay performs safety functions, such as shutting of the fuel pump in an accident that deploys an air bag.

My guess would be a valve timing problem. But I don't work on Chevrolet products, so I'm not sure if you have a timing chain or a timing belt. Do you have a distributor, or a coil pack in the vehicle? If a distributor, is the ignition timing correct? Watch out for vacuum leaks! And check to see that the PCV valve is closing, or you will lose lots of vacuum, making the engine run rough and nearly powerless at low speed.

E ng lite came on pulled to stop light engine ran rough and was shaking ck oil was low filled oil ran better this am wife went to take truck to work got to the end of block engine ran rough brought back...

I don't think the rough running had much to do with oil level, since it started running rough a 2nd time. Check the fuel filter and ignition timing.

Revs up and runs rough then stalls, it runs very rough, it can barely idle, put in gear and it stalls

I would like more info on the vehicle, as to the engine size. There are vacuum leaks on this engine, both the 4cyl and 6cyl. The injector lower seals are prone to cause this condition, but to check for this and to do it safely, is have it smoke tested with the proper test equipment. The EGR valves can also stick partially open, causing a rough idle and then a idle fluctuation and a stalling problem. Another poss cause is the idle control motor is failing. This vehicle should be taken in for service at a very reputable repair shop. If not properly diag, will cost hundreds of dollars just to "PUT PARTS ON IT UNTIL IT RUNS GOOD".

Check engine lite truck is running rough

You should have the light scanned, but you most likely have a misfire. You will probably end up replacing spark plugs, wires and/or ignition coils. That is the most common problem for a running rough issue.
