Question about 2009 Volkswagen Tiguan
There was apparently an error with the way the
cars computer was reading the TPMS sensors. You might be able to reset
it with VAG-COM but more than likely it will require a trip to the
These Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems are all worthless and nothing more than a waste of peoples money due to the fact that they are simply just more that can break on cars these days. Mostly every car after 2005 has to have them thanks to Al Gore and the theory that if our tires are inflated we burn less gas, and then the planet is greener. This is true and not so true because now people are just driving to the dealer more. Now the valve stems for these things are twice as much as regular valve stems and the sensors are usually about $80. When I get my car, I'm taking the damn things out and trying to get the light disabled and if it won't go out, I'll just laugh at it every time it comes on.All you need is a six dollar tire gauge and to check your tires once a month or even once every two months. These systems are nothing but trouble and should be optional.
Hope this helped.

that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of
lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected
a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM,
SRS, TPMS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You
must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool
and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for
