Located near your blower motor usually near pass. glove box and floor area. there will be a heater resisitor, 4 wires usually. 2 or 3 screws when removed you'll see lil coils.3 or 4 ....thats whole thing needs replacing. Ask for a heater resistor for 99 pathfinder, VIN # will help you out.

Why does the air bag light flash?

You are not providing enough information ..Vehicle type year, constant or intermittent . Air bag lights indicate failure of the system. could be impact sensors , seat sensors or even seat belt sensors triggering the light. This has to be checked by a qualified dealer that has the proper equipment to analyze the system. I should be it fixed as soon as possible .

make sure antifreeze is at proper level. mine was low, and heater would not work at idle. filled her up, and walaaaa, blows hot at idle. something about needing full level to circulate through heat system. made sense to me and it worked. good luck.

HAVE A NISSAN PATHFINDER 2002 AND THE AC ONLY WORKS ON HIGH. IT IS A MANUAL UNIT HOW DO I FIX THIS PROBLEM?

I just fixed my 2002 Path that has the same problem as yours today. The problem is due to the malfunction of power assembly module (part #27761-70T03). Refer to step by step instructions by Andrew224 and Solara on the following forum http://forums.nicoclub.com/blower-motor-problem-t289709.html It easy to do it yourself (30 min max) ..... good luck.

I have a really strange problem with my Nissan 2006 Pathfinder. The heater will not heat up and blow out hot air as long as the vehicle is sitting idling. When I want to defrost the windshield on frosty...

Since your blower is working and it is a heat issue, thats where we'll start,First thing is have you checked the coolant level in the radiator when engine is cold, make sure it is filled to top, next verify you have coolant in reserve ,Start your van and get it up to normal operation temperature,If your heat gauge on the dash works correctly it should be 190 degrees,Now lift the hood and locate the two heater hoses going into the heater assembly at the fire wall,Both hoses should be hot to hold on to,if both are hot and no heat inside your problem will be the blend air door in heater assembly.
if neither hose is that hot you need to replace the thermostat in the engine to get it up to 195 degrees.
if one hose is hot and one is luke warm then the heater core is blocked and to blame. hope this helps y

1997 pathfinder idle speed

How was it running before the work was done? A vacuum line in the wrong place could be holding the EGR valve open. Try unplugging the vacuum line from the EGR valve to see if it idles different. Plug the vacuum line with a small bolt or golf tee

2005 Pathfinder Heat Flow problem

I am having/had the same problem. My rear heater has not worked the last 2 winters, still trying to figure that one out. But I think I solved the front heat problem myself. The heater was blowing cold air while idling and hot air when the car was moving.

I jacked up the front of the vehicle, took the cap off of the reserve tank for the radiator, turned the car on and ran the heat (AC off) for 15 minutes. This is supposed to release any air bubbles in the coolant system and I did see air bubbles emerge as I was watching (this might be normal occurance, I'm far from a mechanical expert). Anyway, this did not immediately solve the problem, still blowing cold air as it sat there idling after 15 minutes. Dejected, I put the cap back on, lowered the vehicle and resigned myself to taking it to a dealer.

But a funny thing happened the next day, the coolant level was a lower (no leaks on the floor) so I filled up, and sure enough, when I started the car and let it warm up a little, hot air started coming out of the heater!!!

As far as my wife knows, I fixed the problem for the price of a bottle of coolant, so I am a hero...but at first I thought it didn't work. Here we are a month later and still blowing warm air and haven't had to replace any more coolant...the internet is a wonderful thing!

Hope this works for you, and I hope I can figure out my rear heater problem as well.
