I actually just finished this task this morning. If you have the 3.6 liter V6, you'll need to remove the intake manifold bolts to get to all of the spark plugs. You don't have to disconnect all of the hoses going into/out of the intake, just remove the bolts and disconnect the small airbox in the front of the car. There are 6 bolts in total. Get something you can use to prop up the entire intake assembly about 1.5 to 2 inches (you only need to do this on one side at a time). Be wary if you have a paper gasket under the intake though, that will need to be replaced. Buy it ahead of time just in case. I unfortunately learned that one the hard way :(

Car was slipping in and out of gear.

If they are Original Plugs with 108K on them, Count yourself Lucky and REPLACE THEM.

Do not SKIMP on the cheaper Plugs.. If it calls for Iridum, put them in. But your Engine calls for Double Platinum so use them....

Transmission won't go into gear

Spark Plugs and Transmission do not have a commonality... Can you be more specific?

In another post, you said you had 108K, I agree with them... Put in new Plugs and you will increase mileage and reliability. But that does not have anything to do with a Transmission Problem

Cts 2004 cadillac,P0301 and P0302, cylinders 1 and 2 not working, i changed coils and spark plugs and still not working. i do i need to do next. thank you.

You might try parking as dark as you can, letting the engine idle and check under the hood for errant sparks due to decayed ignition/plug wires. GM saves money in some of the oddest places and I had to install new plug wires after only three years but Caddies are built so much better, right? Well, my first, a '49, did take a beating with few problems.
