Coolant boiling in resevoir.

It can be faulty coolant temperature sensor. Its not sensing exact coolant heat temperature so its overheating then required level.

-----------

Get the coolant pressure tested, its definitely leaking coolant. You will need to get the coolant running line.

Pressure test will help you to know from where exactly coolant/refrigerant is getting leaked.

I need to change coolant. How do I bleed air from the system so that I can fill it. Thanks.

Drain the coolant. Then fill resevoir and/or radiator. Then start the car. The water pump will circulate the fluid into all the nooks and crannies. With the engine on but not hot and the resevoir/radiator cap off, fill till you are at the FULL or "F" line. If it's just a radiator with no resevoir, fill to the bottom of the filler neck. You are then done.

No heat

the thermostat may be stuck open, not allowing the the water in the radiator to warm up, or you may have a bad exchange on the dash that won't allow you to turn it from cold to hot.the resevoir is called an overflow resevoir.when the coolant heats up it expands and flows into there, when it cools back down it uses the coolant from the resevoir.

Hi there, I have a kh ford laser 93 model 1.6... when i drive the car it seems to overheat but there is water in the radiator and happens on hot days what do you think problem would be. thanks

I assume motor tune or other mechanical condition is not causing the problem.
When engine running, ensure no engine combustion gas bubbles in coolant resevoir (if so, the head gasket is blown).
I suggest you go through this checklist:-
Check radiator cooling fans are operating ok (as required when car warms up) - if not check
1) fuse,
2) relay operation,
3) heat sensor switch.

Check/replace the thermostat, Check for collapsing (soft) coolant hose on suction side of waterpump when engine revs above idle.
Check the coolant pressure cap is serviceable & of correct rating,
Ensure cooling system is correctly filled, bleed off any airlocks as necessary,
Check radiator cooling core is not blocked internally or externally.

The water on my car keeps heating up alot and it goes into the engine coolant resevoir leaving the rediator dry

You need to replace the radiator pressure cap. I would also replace thermostat, drain and flush radiator to start. If it continues the water pump may be not pumping water. If the thermostat is stuck closed it wont allow water to cycle through the engine causing it to boil and the pressure cap is not holding the pressure allowing it to flow to the reservoir. So first change the thermostat and the radiator pressure cap.
