How to replace a heater core in a 1988 crown victora/ltd

Replacing the heater core on your vehicle is a job in itself and if one is not mechanically inclined or knowledgable in this area I highly do not recommend attempting taking on such a task.I have done many of these and I will tell you it involves removing the whole dash including lossening the steering wheel and laying it on the seat your dash will also be laying on the seat but if you get this far behind the dash there is a plenum assembly your heater core is inside this case depending on how yours is set up you may or may not need to disconnect th A/C lines and you may or may not need to remove the whole plenum assembly to replace the heater core. If you do plan on attempting to take on this task I recommend you buy a repaire manual for your vehicle and follow the instructions.

My car dies when i plug all my vacum hoses why?

Hi Rolando, Any leakage of air into the intake manifold will change the engine performance. As I do not know just what you have disconnected and what you have not, its difficult to advise what course of action to take. It sounds to me as if there are defective valves which need attention. If you let me know what you have done and not done, and what you have disconnected and reconnected and in addition tell me if you think you have connected everything correctly, it would be a major help, to you and me? Regards John

I need to know how to change the starter

if you fallow the positive battery cable it will connect to the starter, there will be a ground wire that unbolts or clips from the cylinoid and a battery nut also, then 2-3 bolts that attatch the starter to the bell housing of the transmission where the engine block and tranny meet. may have to approach from underneath.
