2002 sebring sudddenly will not rev over 1500 rpm

start car, try to rev (try to cause error)... allow to idle for 30 secs
shut off car, with car stopped, turn key, on-off-on-off-leave on. codes will be displayed in odometer readout.

if code P0340 it is the cam sensor, very easy fix, one bolt.

Ive got a '97 jeep grand cherokee that has begun

Get a code test done and see what you find...sounds like a bat throttle position sensor but without proper testing, I would not run out and buy one,

1998 Sebring 2.5 RPM drops below 1000...doesnt stall though

You have a vacume leack, most likly on your PCV valve, or on the intake manifold there are a few rubber hoses that you should check for cracks and or leaks. When you find it go to the part store and buy then replace, you may e-mail me if you have any other questions bharris9@gmail.com

MY 1997 SEBRING STALLS WHILD DRIVING AND WHEN I COME TO AN IDLE

My daughter had this same exact issue on her 97 sebring as well. We checked EVERYTHING else before replacing cars computer (ECM) and wazoo it was fixed. We had replaced spark plug wires, plugs, O2 sensor, egr valve...etc and it was the computer after all that. So pull yours out and take it to car quest or autozone etc and see if they can test it. I would bet thats your problem. GOOD LUCK!! Let me know how it goes.

97 Sebring stall

Were you able to hear the fuel pump before you had the problem? Some of these cars won't let the fuel pump run until the computer picks up distributor signal first. Chryslers are known for cam and crank sensors going bad. Not a back-yard repair, though. Diagnosing it is half of the problem, repairing it is the other. Hopefully the posts come up with more obvious stuff.
