98 Pontiac Grand Prix load front end roaring?

Defective fan clutch, if it has one. With a cold engine only, try spinning the fan blade by hand. If it does not turn freely, the fan clutch is defective. Warning: When the engine is hot, the fan can turn on by itself with the car not running and keys are NOT in the ignition.

Hi, I have a couple/few issues with my 2002 grand

popping noise or clunk could come from cv joint of front axle shaft
and look if back plate of front wheel not touching the rotor
for electrical problem to say without seen it but I will check ground or bad connection to headlight switch (burn connection)
if there is no bad connection at radio the radio display dim come from the headlight switch and dome lamp rheostat

If I recall correctly, this vehicle is front-wheel drive. If so, have a shop (or if you can your self) check the drive axle that delivers power from the transmission to the front wheel. A boot could be ripped.

Your symptoms sound similar to what happened to a friend of mine's vehicle. The sound would come and go.

I hope that helps!
