Why do you need to replaced the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation)valve? they never go bad unless its broken, if it makes you feel bettter just clean it.(carb or brake cleaner) the air filter is easy. I dont know your handiness, but the spark plugs should be simple enough. Use NGK spark plugs, the correct ones for your car, and replace them 1 at a time. Torque them to 18lbs (snug, not overly tight)

Honestly if i was you i would just go buy a manual for it. Its only $20 for a manual, it will give you pictures on locations, when u do your tune up get these parts pcv valve, plugs, wires, distributor cap, and the rotor that goes in the cap, and air filter, and fuel filter. depending on the motor im not sure if you have a distributor cap or coils so i would look into that. Dont forget when u do the wires do one at a time so u dont confuse the firing order, that would be bad. expect to spend about an hour and aprx 100 buks. So it would be in your best interest to just get a manual and not go off what someone told you. I hope this helped

What is needed for a tune up?

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. For a tune up, you would need to change spark plugs, coils, distributor cap, coil pack, and wires. You would change the air filter and the fuel filter also. Change your pcv valve as well. You can also change all your fluids and filters, such as oil, coolant fluid, and transmission fluid.

What does a major tune up for a 2004 chevy impala consist of? What should be done and needs to be done?

New spark plugs, oil and oil filter, transmission flush and fill, fuel filter, air filter, coolant flush and fill, clean throttle body plate and bore, clean the MAF sensor, replace any loose or cracked vacuum lines, PCV valve, new air filter, new battery.

99% of the time all you should ever need for a tune up is new spark plugs, and a clean air filter and throttle body. But since your inquiry indicated "major" I gave it more critical thought.

I want to know how to service my 2000 Audi A3 myself. Oil change, oil filter change, plugs. What tools do I need?

You'll need some Metric wrenches and sockets and a rachet. Also, an oil filter wrench to fit your oil filter and a spark plug gapper. Don't forget to check the air filter and replace the fuel filter.

What needs to be done at 100,000km service for Honda crv 1999

What I would do, if you haven't, yet is do a total tune up. Change the oil, oil filter, PCV valve, air filter, spark plugs and spark plug wires, timing belt, distributor, and recently I heard that adjusting the valves at that (100,000) point will also prolong the engines life, the timing belt and valve adjustments seem to be the hardest to do. This is what i did to my 1999 honda cr-v except the valve adjustment, Im not good enough to mess with that on my own. Doing it myself turned out pretty cheap, and easy, just time consuming. good luck!
