Trying to get the inner cv joint off on 1999 hyundai accent, do i need to undo the ball joint or take the disc rotor off?, any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks Adam in New Zealand.

The rotor has nothing to with cv joint, Try to take off tie rod then you twist and pull back cv joint I did on Toyota Yaris.live nut on at the end hit with a hammer will pop out. to put back may you need a clamp to hold together prevent from spin.

CV joint/axle. You will have to call a local garage for a quote.

Clunking noise when turning the steering wheeel

This is hard to diagnose without more details, but I would suspect the cv joint. Tie rods will not normally clunck constantly. Both can break - a cv joint is not dangerous, but a tie rod breaking is. Worth having a shop check it out.

Hyundai 2005 Elantra cv boot replacement instructions.

There are no instructions available except with the purchase of SOME boot kits. Depending on the CV joint design, you may not be able to remove the joint from the axle. However, most Hyundai CV joints can be removed from the axle by using a drift and a 2 pound hammer to knock the joint off the axle. Once you've done this, it's a simple matter of removing the old boot and installing the new one w/fresh grease and tension bands. Otherwise, you have to remove the DOJ from the other end of the axle and replace the boot that way.

Clunking sound from front wheels, suspension on Hyundai Atos

It sounds like the CV joints are due to be replaced. Make sure you get them replaced and do not drive it too far, because the CV joints will fail anytime now. Once the CV joints fail, your going to have to get the car towed to get it fixed. Good luck and keep me posted, Oh and don't buy the car from there, who knows what else is wrong with the car that they are hiding from you.
