I switch to hdm[.then it switches back to normal t.v. all the time why

Do you have a signal on the HDMI port you have selected?
A TV may search for a port with a signal and select that as the port it thinks you want.
If the HDMI port you have selected has a signal, the TV may have the "normal TV"as the default port to go to when you turn on the TV.
Go to settings and check for default settings..

How to set the tv cable right on a 700r4 with a holly trottal body with shift kit in it

Pop the hood and locate the TV cable it has a button on the side... Push that button in and while holding down push the tip of the housing(for the cable) in.. this retracts it completely..Once retracted , manually open throttle to wide open position...You will notice that the TV cable will ratchet out .... This is the proper setting for cable.....Good Luck!!!

My1988 chevy 2500 2x4 auto shifts into 2nd at about 30 and shifts into drive at about 45 mph.It doesn't slip but takes forever to shift.Any ideas what the problem might be?

Engine load is determined by throttle position via the TV cable. Either a stuck valve due to some crud, or a broken or disconnected TV cable. Start there, the TV cable is the critical adjustment to those 700R4 and the tv cable will make or break how that thing shifts.
Look up the leading transmission builders in your area and find the initial setting then what to did is move it a notch at a time (made it tighter then drove it) till you get a nice firm shift...its pretty easy to set once you've done it a few times. good luck

Thank you for using fixya

Black box on tv screen

Sounds like "closed captioning" or other information mode has been setup on your TV, slect " Menu" on your remote and go through initial set up or options to see what has been set up change it. If there is a default option or factory setting available select that.

1080i on tv and not 1080p

No. Most broadcasts are limited to 1080i. BlueRay discs and (now defunct HDDVD) are the only time you will see 1080p. I heard DirectTV may also be running 1080p soon (or already have the option). In any case, 1080p requires 2x the bandwith vs. 1080i. I assure you that unless you see them side-by-side, you will not notice the difference. You many not notice the difference when you do see them side-by-side. The broadcast controls the 1080i vs. 1080p (not a setting on your TV).

Convert *** TV and Nav

Find someone fluent in Japanese and English to help you change the settings.
otherwise if you are brave, open the settings menu and take a logical guess.
If there is a reset port you can put a paper clip straightened out and reset the setting to manufacturers original setting and you should be able to pick language from there. You may need to remove the unit from the console to do this ...
