Question about 1997 Volkswagen Golf
I believe the temp sensor controlling the fan has gone bad. This not unusual, I had 2 other cars (ford ranger and PT cruiser) both wnet bad.
It is located at the T connection on the lower rad hose.
You will need to get under the car.
Unplug the wire to it and see if the fan stops when the ignition is turned to ON.
Buy another sensor and replace the existing one.
