First you need to find out why the check engine light is on. Try a parts store and see if they will get the code from the computer that will tell you what sensor is bad. If you have not replaced an oxygen sensor by now that is probably what is wrong. If these are bad for too long you will damage the catalytic convertor and it will rattle when the engine is running. backfiring and no acceleration can come from the 02 sensor since this sets fuel delivery.

Sounds like the timing may be off. I would need to know what engine it has to help you diagnose this better.

1990 ford bronco idles fine when you accelerate the gas loses power and backfires through the intake

Fuel delivery problem, not enough fuel on acceleration could cause backfires. Many things cause backfires, mechanical and electronic. I need more info to give a better diagnosis. Did the problem happen all of a sudden or has the vehicle been running crappy for awhile.

Engine light flashes when accelerator pedal is applied accompanied by severe power loss and trouble revving up

the check engine light is flashing to alert you to the fact that the engine has a missfire in the ignition system, don't continue to drive this with the condition or u can overheat and damage the catalytic converter.

Rough idle, backfire on acceleration

check everything you can under the hood your air intake system all of it especially make sure all clamps are tight .. and make sure all vacuum hoses are good and not cracking or broken or just loose . you might run a little fuel cleaner through a tank of gas too cleaning the engine fuel system up some. just a few ideas.. 4 cyl Engine starts and idles ok...give it throttle and it dies

I need to get a clear mental picture of what exactly is happening.

With this said, you stated that the car "runs fine" until warmed up.

Q: When you start the car when cold it idles fine?
Q: If you allow the car to idle until "fully" warmed does the car stall?
Q: As the car begins to warm up, Does the RPM fluctuate abnormally?
Q: Does the car Only stall when you press on the gas pedal or does it stall just sitting and idling in addition to pressing the gas pedal?
Q: If you can drive it while cold does the car stall during acceleration when warm or only at Stop Signs / Lights?
Q: If you wait 20min or so, can you start the car again?
Q: How many miles are on the car?

Engine runs rough after about ten minutes /idles really low

Just trowing some suggestions out there, but, I would check the idle air control valve (solenoid) or the throttle position sensor. If they check out then my last guess would be the map sensor or the vaccuum to the map sensor. Hope I was able to help. Best wishes.
