no I don't think this is an issue, replaced the battery and the starter with the mechanic....all was good for a couple of days and then this morning the car won't start again and when I turn it over it just does the clicking rapidly sound and will not start. Do you think it could be the body control module or the power control module?

Why does my 2001 Pontiac Aztek crank but not start?

If you have a security light on your vehicle will not crank over !
The vehicle theft deterrent (VTD) system functions are provided by the theft deterrent control module. The VTD system prevents vehicle operation if a valid (learned) transponder PASS-Key?®III (PK3) ignition key is not used to start the vehicle. The theft deterrent control module has an exciter that is part of the theft deterrent control module as an assembly. The PK3 key has a transponder embedded in the plastic head of the key. The exciter is an antenna which is made up of wire coils which surround the ignition lock cylinder. The PCM enables the engines starter and fuel delivery system when it receives a valid (learned) password from the theft deterrent control module via the class 2 serial data circuit.
You need to take it to the dealer !

Will code p1811 cause a no start in pontiac aztek...also makes a rapid clicking noise but no start?

It sounds like loose battery terminals, discharged battery, loose starter motor contacts(U might need a hammer to tap the starter motor lightly),or bad starter motor relay

2004 pontiac aztek won't start

I would not think starter , maybe park neutral switch > It's a safety switch that won't let the vehicle start if in gear . If it doesn't start again try an put in into neutral an see if it starts . But to make sure starter is not bad do a starter circuit voltage drop test . Starter Voltage Drop

2004 aztek wont start

If it comes to having to buy a starter, I'd recommend a new starter over a used one.

As for the *click* then nothing that's been happening... if the battery is bad, you would hear a *tick-tick-tick-tick-tick* sound. That's the starter solenoid magnetizing and hitting the starter connection. If you hear just one single *click*, I'm guessing you either have a bad starter or a bad connection.

Started truck and just got a rapid clicking noise

That indicates a poor connection, a bad battery cable, or bad ground. Check for all three. Check engine ground, engine to frame ground, and battery ground. Clean and tighten battery connections, starter connections. Check your cables.

My 2004 pontiac grand prix gt wont start when i went to turn it on this morning to go to work nothing happened it just made a clicking noice. The guy at pep boys said that the battery was good. when i try...

if you turn headlights on and turn key to start do you hear clicking? if so starter is possibly bad, lets trouble shoot your problem.suggest you check the fuses under hood in black box, make sure those are good. when you turn the key, you should hear at least a click or else the starter is not drawing current.try turning the headlights on and at same time turn the key and try to start, if lights go dim the starter is drawing current, does it click? if so then bad starter. if no noise at all,,still could be a bad starter.suggest that you remove the starter and have it checked out.also make sure the car is in park for sure before you do any of this. hope this helps!!

2001 Aztek....won't start. When trying to start,

A rapid clicking noise in a GM starter is a sign of insufficient power going to the battery. Make sure all your connections have bare, shiny metal to metal contact. Do a "load test" on the battery. It may show enough power on a voltmeter only to fail when it is forced to produce it. On a load test it shouldn't drop below 10.5 -12 volts and it should bounce back to near 14 when the load is off. Check the ground strap between the engine and body and the ground at the battery.
If everything is good I would replace the power cable from the battery to the starter. I've had a few of them that looked good but the car wouldn't start until I replaced the cable. Hope this helps.

Engine start problems

the problem could be the starter, battery, battery cables, or alternator. the clicking could most likely be the starter going bad if not bad already or the battery weak or bad battery cables, if you have good power to everything else radio headlamps and heater the i would start by replacing starterlet me know what you find.
