My driver side mirror is knocked out by someone. The problem is that it has been broken by the holder supporting the whole case and the mirror. It is hanging by wires so can you please tell me how to...

you will have to buy a new one or get a used one from a wrecking yard. They are sold online. If the old one is painted to match the car, you will also need to get the new one painted. :o(

How do you replace the exterior mirror glass on a 2007 chevy tahoe. I have the the replacement glass portion but not sure how to release the broken portion from the mirror motor. Thanks for any info!

i just replaced the passenger side on mine and this is what i did.

1. on the back side of the mirror housing is a half moon shaped plastic piece. gently remove that from the housing, exposing a portion of the back side of the mirror.

2. disconnect the two wires (remember rt and lf). carefully, with a pry tool, apply pressure on the center of the back side of the mirror, it will pop loose.

3. once the mirror is off there should be a round plastic piece attached to the back side of the mirror. on the passenger side there is a tab in the upper left side. lift up on the tab and slide the plastic piece should slide off.

4. once you have the plastic piece off it goes on the back of the new mirror in the opposite way. you line up the four cross tabs and slide the mirror up until the tab grabs it.

5. put the mirror back in the housing by lining the circle (on back side center of mirror plate) with the center of the mirror housing. genlty apply pressure on the center of the mirror (i had to hit it firmly with the palm of my hand) unitl it snaps into place.

6. once it snaps into place you can reconnect the two wires to the back of the mirror and install the back side plastic housing......DONE

2003 regal drivers mirrors lens about to fall off. Was able to push it back on it's a little more solid.

There are two snaps on the corners (where the motor connects to the mirror and moves it) diagonal of each other and a "t" snap in the middle where it pivots. The "t" snap is hard to snap in and you almost feel like your going to break the mirror. Use a light and look inside the mirror to make sure where it mounts to the motor isn't broken and then just try and snap the mirror back in place if everything looks ok. When applying pressure on the mirror use a buffer between your hand such as a towel or something. So in the event the mirror does break your less likely to get injured.

Passenger side outside mirror glass fell out of the housing while driving. Can it be 'snapped' back into place?

yes you can easily , first look at the hole the mirror fits in and you'll see i long thin steel springywire at the topmost section. If you study this wire you will see it just locks the mirrors backplate to the unspring this steel wire-snap in the mirror- push inwards at the bottom of the mirror so you can get to this wire at the top and with a screwdriver just nudge it back in place to lock it all in,,hope this helped,

I knocked my rear view mirror of the windscreen and can't get it

there should be a very small screw you have to loosen to put the mirror back in place and then tighten it back up again. i think it takes a very small allen wrench

Replace right side view mirror.

My mirror got knocked off by a deer running into the side of my car.

I mixed up some five minute epoxy and put it into the male and female joints that connect the mirror to the car. Hold it on tight without movement, for ten minutes and you are done.

Power windows, door locks and mirrors inop.

Sounds familiar - I pulled the rubber boot back and found the black wire was broken. I stripped the wires and put on a couple bullet connectors (terminators) and all is good. Just wish I would have seen this post before I took the door panel off... Oh well...
