Go to www.hmaservice.com and register your vehicle by VIN #.. you'll then have access to wiring diagrams, shop manuals, service bulletins, illustrations, etc. The fuel filter is a 'sock' attached to the fuel pump located in the fuel tank.. it is NON serviceable.
Hello! I need a little clarification...The trouble report list the model as a Santa Fe with a 2.0 td...The Santa Fe does not have a 2.0L engine...It has a 2.4L (4 cylinder) or a 2.7L (6 cylinder)...Please tell me which engine is in the Santa Fe...
Perhaps if we had more info about your vehicle??? ... Like, which engine is installed on your vehicle???... you know, there were three different engines (a 4 cylinder and two different 6 cylinders) available on the 04 Santa Fe. Tell you what, since you're so eager to find the 'location of the throttle control sessor, Go to www.hmaservice.com and register( Vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you have access to shop manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, etc. about your vehicle.
I wanted to post a reply to this because I also have a 2001 2.7l V6 4wd and my output speed sensor was directly underneath the air filter housing/box and NOT "deep behind the transmission" as the poster said above. It was very easy to get to, and took me about 10 minutes to replace. The part number for mine (genuine Hyundai/KIA) is 42621 39052 if that helps. And this is NOT the 02 sensor mentioned in the previous post. What we're talking about here is the Output Speed Sensor on the transmission. You may get a code P0720 from your CEL. You can also download TSB 05-40-011from hmaservice.com for more info and a diagram of the location. Hopefully this might help someone in the future. Good luck!
