Question about 2004 Pontiac Vibe

1 Answer

2004 Pontiac Vibe A/C. I turned on the A/c and it doesn't seem to be working all that well. I bought a A/C recharge kit to try. Where is the A/C low port. There are two caps, blue & black. The blue has a H on it, so I assume that means high port. Please confirm which is the correct port and its location.

Why would the low beam headlights stop working in a 2005 Pontiac Vibe?

They are controlled by the turn signal switch. Replace that.

I have a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire and am looking for where you would top up the regrigerant. Bought a kit and where I think I should fill it the nozzle does not fit.

There is a high pressure side and a low pressure side on your refirgirant line the fittings are different sizes because it is very dangerous if you hook up to the wrong side of the line. Make sure you read the directions on the recharge kit and follow them precisely. The high pressure side fitting should have a red cap and the low pressure side should have a blue cap. You will need to hook the charge kit to the LOW pressure side to recharge.

Hot air comes out driver side, but cold air comes out of the passenger side

My 2000 Bonneville would do that when the pressure in the ac system was low. I had a leak in my system and bought a recharge kit and charged it when it got low. The correct way is to fix the leak of course, but this worked for me for the last 8 months until I had it fixed this week.

R134a recharger nozzle won't fit on low pressure service port.

The low pressure port on the 2003 grand am is actually behind the engine, near the firewall on the passenger side. Good luck getting your hose down there though, I ended up buying an extension hose.
