Where is the ac low pressure side port on 1997 Cougar

down side of master cylinder.

i have a 1997 mercury cougar 8 cylinder. the idle is running to low car will not continue to run but will run if the idle is higher. what cause this and how can i solve this problem

fuse box is located under hood behind battery

Warm air could mean ur AC system is undercharged or overcharged. Those are the 2 most common problems. U need to take ur vehicle to the certified AC technician. AC repair can get pretty expensive.

look at the ac compressor and follow the large ac line/hose untill u come to the service port,,has it been retofitted for 134a? if not go to parts store and ask for a retro fit foe the low side,u will need to remove the sharader valve before installing the low side retro fit,,also purchase a charge hose

no its not the capacitor.
put more freon in it untill it stops cycling on and off.
thats the low pressure switch keeping the comp from killing it self on the suchion side.

it needs more freon .

Change your Thermostat and add some Antifreeze. Should Fix it.
