I have the same issue with mine. I read what's below on, and I wonder if that's not what has happened. Don't know if there is a fix or if replacement is the only option.

Cable Redesign:
In the last two years of the MR2 manufacture, Toyota made a modification to the hold down cables in order to eliminate a tearing problem experienced by many owners of the earlier MR2 tops. The cables sewn into our tops have the improved Toyota configuration cables pre-installed.

The leak I have in my 2006 HHR is clear, on the passenger side, and only happens when it rains. I do not see anything around the windshield, but it goes through the glove compartment and on to the flo

A good trick to finding exactly where it is leaking from is to take flour or baby powder, and very lights dust the entire inside area where the leak could be coming from. Do this right before you know it is going to rain and it will leak. when you go out to check it after the rain, it should be very easy to see where the water came in and washed away the powder. I would do it along the rubber gasket around the door from the back edge of the window where it meets the roof, all the way down past the door hinges, as well as the windshield.

Mazda Bt50 cab leaks on drivers side

I recently purchased a 2008 BT50 dual cab then 2 days later we had 500mm of rain and of course it leaked :( I had about 80mm of water on the drivers side floor and 30mm on the passenger side floor. I stripped the interior out of the car and started hosing the outside and watching where it was coming in. I took all the windscreen surrounds off and the cowl panel off below the screen there was no water coming in from that area. I had taken the gutter seals off but left the door seals on so the water was running down around the outside of the seals (with the door shut) and out at the bottom. From inside near the drivers side kick panel I could see water coming through seams in the metal work and when I took the door seal rubber off the body on the car I could see water was getting in at the top of the door seal rubber going down the front inside edge of the rubber and getting in through the seam where the rubber push's onto the body of the car (first problem). I took all the door seal rubbers off and run a bead of non corrosive silicon inside the cavity and pushed them back on. It seemed to have fixed the problem I dried the carpet and put it back together..Two weeks later we got another 325mm of rain and it leaked again :( not near as bad this time. Looking at the bottom of the door where the door trim meets the door I could see water coming from behind the trim and then into the car. I took the door trims off and could see water gets in when the window is up (all cars do) and is supposed to run out the drain holes in the bottom of the door but the water was dripping and splashing up to the back side of the door trim against the sheet of plastic that is supposed to seal against the door with the black mastic (it doesn't) and running straight into the car. I cut some plastic and siliconed them onto each opening on the inside of the door frame and then put the factory piece of plastic on as well (properley this time) as a backup.
So far so good.

06 wrangler leaks on drivers side floor when it rains

I had the same problem, but on the passenger side. This may help. Look on the inside under the door for a seam where the two body panels meet. The seam should be tight, but mine had a good size gap and the water was coming in there. I took a tube of caulk and kept squeezing it in until it came out. No more leaks and I used to get a lake on the floor.

The headlights don't go down when I turn the lights off

You probably blew the fuse on the passenger side inside the Frunk (Front Trunk). The headlights are operated by both relays and fuses. My fuse went out and prevented them from going down. They would go up still.

sounds like some one tried to break into your vehicle and jammed the door locking rod this would be the most likley guess since you said motor is still working the rod will need to be pulled out and straightened again to factory bend this is critical

and your switch is on the door panel the one that says lock unlock
