I need to find the location for a speed sensor on my 98 jeep lmt grand cherokee, obviously it is on my transmission, but where exactly?

Drivers side, almost even with the rear edge of the driver side front tire. it pops right out....along with copious amounts of tranny fluid.

Where is the speed sensor at on a 1993 jeep grand cherokee

On 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4WD 5.2L MFI 8cyl the Vehicle Speed Sensor - is located in Transmission / Transfer case extension housing (tail section), near where the drive shaft attaches to the transmission. The sensor has three wires (white / black, black / light blue and white / orange).

How do i install a engine speed sensor on my 1998 jeep grand cherokee loredo 4.0

Ther are more than one type of speed sensor for jeeps....I am chrysler jeep tech...there are 2 speed sensors on the trans and also speed sensors at the wheels (IF IT HAS ABS)...Normally the engine speed is done by an IAC Motor...If you are meaning idle...Can you send more information....
Also you may have a vacum leak..........You have an Input speed sensor and an output speed sensor ....Do you know exactly which it is ....Both are at transmission /If 4 wheel drive see transfer case also.I have the manual at my fingertips and will be glad to assist you with any problems............................I can help................metalpoet

Crankshaft sensor located 98 jeep grnd cher 4wd 6cy

it is located at the back of the engine on top of the transmission bell housing,the plug runs over to the passenger side of the engine bay and it comes out from behind the engine,you can actually get your hand on the sensor itself from under the hood on the drivers side,and i believe its a 13mm bolt holding it in,the new sensor will have a sticker on the end of it...leave it there,it is used for correct spacing between the sensor and the flywheel,hope this helps

It is most likely a speed sensor located on the transmission toward the aft area of tranny, look for wires and connection plug I would advise purchasing a Haynes repair manual $20.00

Where's the output transmi. sensor on a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

if you mean speed sensor it is located on reductor where shaft comes out to rear dif. if you mean rpm sensor, it is located on top of transmition screwed vith two bolts in cilinder block.
