In the trunk or the 3rd brake light? trunk: remove the carpet cover, then 10mm bolts or wing nuts, pull tail light assembly out, twist bulb to remove. 3rd light. lay on your back in the trunk, locate and remove 2 10mm nuts, crawl into back seat pull up on housing. there will be a long plastic tab that will prevent you from pulling the housing all the way out, you can cut this and make this procedure easier, or remove the entire hat rack.

Do how 2008 getz stop light globe change

Hi there,

There should be a cover directly behind the light inside the tailgate., All you need to do is remove this cover and you will have access to the rear of the light socket. Twist the light out anti clockwise and the globe will come out. Refit in the reverse order.

If you find it hard try it this way >

holding the assembly together, and yes a screwdriver is what you will need along with a little pressure at each side once you have pried each joint to stop them from popping back together.

I have a 1991 GMC Sierra with stop light problems. I have checked the fues and bulbs which are good and replace the stop light switch but still have not stop lights.

sounds like to me the bulb socket needs changed or bad ground .pull back the carpet along the back and look for ground contacts.there should be a place where they conect a few ground wires .

Don't stop at red lights and stop signs...

How many miles are on the engine? When was your last tune up? If it's been a while then I would start by changing the fuel filter, air filter, pcv valve, oil change, etc.

2002 Intrepid 2.7 motor just shuts off when stoping check engan light came on and code was a map sensor changed it still stoped running hade the light reset and it just came right back on this time...

check for vaccum leak at map sensor or anywhere else no vaccum to map will show up as bad because the computer watches the voltage on it and the vaccum changes that voltage , no vaccum meens no voltage change and computer throws the light on to let you know there's a problem somewhere.

Need to change the stop light for 05 nissan maxima.

Open the trunk, from the inside remove the side trunk liner (by removing the plastic tabs the liner can be pulled back). Once the liner is pulled back you will need to remove two nuts which secure the tail light in place. Once the two nuts are removed you can start pulling the whole tail light assembly out. There are two other tabs that secure the tail light in place which may give you some resistance but the light should come out without too much force once the two nuts are removed.
Once the tail light is out you can change whatever bulbs you need to.

Tail light problems

Probably because it blows immediately because the short is now a dead short. The hot wire is completely against the ground not just rubbing. Has the car been hit in the back at any time? Look underneath and see if any wires are hanging down.around the tail light area. Your looking for a wire that is rubbing against metal . Could be inside the trunk behind the covers .
