Question about 2000 Volkswagen Jetta TDI
I have a 99 grand am my car started then went off now it wont start but the service engine light is on so what could be wrong its full of gas so i know it's not that.
I have a Polo TDI 96kw and it's doing the same thing. I bought new glow plugs and it's still doing the same thing however that "quick start" spray work like a charm but the problem remains ,any idea what it could be??

Often this will happen when the fuel pump stops but the check engine light won't set from this. best thing to do is get a can of start fluid from auto parts store and open the air filter box and have someone spray into the air line while you are trying to start the engine. If the problem is the fuel pump the motor will start and run until you stop spraying. If this works the service engine light could go out and nothing else be wrong.
