Question about 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix
There is a valve behind the quarter panel right below the gas cap and they go bad replace that and get the code deleted by a shop.(advanced, autozone, etc..) and you should be good to go.

The new gas caps made by gm are nuts no more turning it with the threads it has to be put on the right way other wise the code will stay on i would take it to the dealer and have them put it on and reset the light for you to see if its a faulty gas filler neck trust me it looks likes its on but not on correctly
