For center console removal start furthest point from dash move seats forward and look for screws of either side of console. may also be in storage area of console. remove back section first which will reveal screws for front which should reveal screws for area that holds cig lighter and such

I have a 96 nissan maxima it won't go into park

Most likley problem is your brake light switch. go underneath the dash to the brake pedal and depending on wether you have cruise control or not ther will be one or two sensors there. the black sensor should be the brake light switch. disconnect and jump the connector with a paper clip and see if the brake lights comeon and the shifter will move.

'96 Nissan Maxima, 116,000 miles: The air conditioning condensor kicks on, seems to be full of coolant, but will only blow hot air.

Time to go get it recharged. You can do this with a kit you buy at a parts store, or you can have a mechanic do it. If this was at all helpful, please rate. Thanks for asking.
