I replaced the clutch on my 06 colbalt. I am having trouble getting the car to start. Can you help me?

The basics start there. Fuel and fire.. Do you smell gas coming from the tail pipe when you try to start. Check for fire. What is the car doing, does it turn over?

Hyundai atos 2006 clutch pedal hard and gears change difficult

After replacing the clutch and adjusted the cable and you are STILL having a problem with the clutch (it is a cable clutch not a hydrolic one) have a look at where the clutch enters through the fire wall (engine side) you will see that is has probably collapsed or dented there, for some reason this is a common occurrence with the hyundai. This has happened to mine as well as my friend's atos. This is something that should not happen

1985 ford pick up with a 1 ton clutch c5 transmission carborated will not fire

Check your timing. Sounds like the bolt holding the distributor may have come loose and let it turn a bit or your rotor in the cap is loose and not giving spark to the correct cylinder at the correct time.

My 1991 rx7's clutch went so loose that it actually stuck to the floor and the car died. it started drove awhile then repeated the problem. now it won't start; seems like it has no compression

Fixing the clutch, I bet one of the lines had been leaking clutch fluid for quite a while. May top it off, and have a friend stomp down on the clutch to see if you can find the leak and repair it, then make sure to bleed your clutch back off. BTW, do you mean no compression as in the clutch has completely gone, or the engine has lost compression?

The problem is that you have to push the clutch all the way in to get the starter to fire. There must be a switch or something that lets the ignition fire the starter. Well, the starter won't fire...

try this, find switch in back of clutch arm. remove switch and hook wires together from switch. but do not try to start with clutch not pressed down. on most cars its a safety precaution. to prevent from starting if clutch is not pushed. have a good day !! clutch_switch2.jpg This one's almost too easy. All that is needed is to loop a small tie wrap around the clutch switch and switch lever assembly. After cinching it down the switch lever is permanently depressed (thereby eliminating the annoying clicking sound). If it ever becomes necessary to restore the switch to normal operation just cut the tie wrap. Couldn't be simpler. Depending on how long it takes you to find a tie wrap the entire process should take 2 minutes or less. NOTE: It is now possible to start the car without the clutch being depressed. If you do this hack make sure the car is not in gear when the car is started unless the clutch is depressed.

I push the clutch in to start it but the staarter dont turn

is your battery charged? turn the head lights on while you try to start and have someone look at the headlights while you try to turn engine over, if the headlights dim while the key is turned to start position, that means the starter is drawing fire. if starter does not turn while doing this, i would say bad starter. if not that,,,there is a neutral safety switch on the clutch. just to make sure your car does not start while in gear, the factory installeda switch on the clutch pedal to insure children and minors can not start your car. unless the clutch in pushed in. the switch is on the clutch pedal, just above the brake pedal[pad] look for a plunger type switch above the pedal.. i hope this helps!!!!

I have a 89 f250 4x4 and I was pulling a trailer when the clutch pedal went right to the floor.Turns out the line had popped off and now the truck will not start,What holds the line in in the slave end and...

For starter, you must get the clutch line replace 1st.

You will need a friend to bleed the clutch slave cylinder.

Check your owner manual for the correct fluid.....most like be DOT3.

Your problem is cause be the electronic cut out. When you DO NOT press on the clutch it will disable the starter circuit.

It prevent someone for start the truck in gear.

Good luck
