First check for loose suspension components in the front and rear. A broken stabilizer bar in the front or rear coud cause the axle to turn quickly when hitting a bump or accelerating or braking fast.
Check ball joints.
Check tie rod ends on the end of the steering gear at eack end, inner and outer.
report results of inspection

My 2004 mazda mpv jerks to the left then straightens back out. This usually happens when I have to accelerate really fast or right about the time it shifts into the last gear.

Mike, this may be because the left wheel is the dominate drive axle (left axle locks up and pulls hard, while right side slips) when under power. Vehicles that do not have possie drive differentials have this pulling characteristic.

Going down the road at 70mph and like went to non pulling coast mode

If the electronic cruise control is malfunctioning, it could be the electronic module that is connected to the pulling mechanism. that actually pulls the throttle plate open with a cable or ribbon cable.

Check that there aren't any breaks in the wire as you wiggle the connections or any shorts in the brake circuit that would make the cruise control turn off , unexpectedly.

How often does this occur?

Car is like pulling like trying to stop when the pedel of the break is on

if the car is pulling to one direction upon braking you have a bad brake caliper or brake hose that connects to it.
the best thing to do is remove the wheel from the side the car pulls when braking and check all parts mentioned.
a collasp hose will cause this and dirt in the brake fluid will lock up a caliper piston which will stay in place causing the pull upon braking

Have 99 saturn SL2. car pulls left upon hard braking. replaced right front caliper which I thought was bad but didn't solve the problem. upon loosening of brake hose to right caliper, with a light brake...

Assuming that the Tires for both Left and Right are:
1. Equal Sizes.
2. Both Properly Inflated - this is a common problem.
3. Have equal wear on them. Example: If the Left Tire is balding on the outside and the Right Tire is balding on the inside, this too is definite sign of an aligment issue; and will cause unequal braking.
Pulling left (or right) during a hard brake might actual mean your Wheel Alignment is way off. When you get one, get a 4-wheel and not just a 2-wheel alignment.
Also: you thought the right thing, but the Left Caliper or Left Brake Hose might also be bad (sticking) causing the left side to brake "harder" then the right side.
You can also Bleed the entire System (all four wheels) starting at the Right Rear, then Left Rear, then Front Right, followed by the Left Front.
Let me know if this helped, or if you have additional information or questions. Feel free to contact me at FixYa.com!

Cruise control shuts off with left turn signal

Just a wild suggestion not at all specific to your car... Check the bulbs in, and functionally of, your turn signals and tail lights and brake lights. I'd don't know if it still applies, but once upon a time a burnt out bulb would cause the cruise not to work (some kind of a safety thing).
