SOURCE: 1995 Jag XJ6 Rear Issues...need to fix ASAP.

My 1994 Vanden Plas makes the same noise. I know I need rear shocks. You do also!! Have the rear shocks replaced. Bilstein part number B46 1858 or Koni part  number 30 1377. Actually the Bilstein is the better shock and less expensive.

Remove the windshield wiper motor for access to the top bolt. Use a 13mm dogbone with a pipe or similar for leverage. They used locktite on the bolts,so it's a bear to get loose. This job is a real P.I.T.A. Good luck.

If the brake lines and fluid is clear then you may have to look at the brake booster found at the other end of the brake pedal under the hood...

How to replace bulb in front bumper turn signal housing 1995 jag xj6

hello,
  • Identify the blown bulb. Note that if a headlight bulb has blown, the dip beam is on the outside and the high beam is on the inside. Turn off the ignition switch and light switches.

  • Open the hood and replace any blown headlight bulbs. Press the plastic spring clips and remove the bulb holder from the assembly. Pull the bulb out of the bulb holder and replace it with a new bulb. It only fits one way. Be sure not to touch the bulb's glass. Replace any parking lights at the same time, they are in the headlamp unit too.

  • Remove the front turn signal light unit in the bumper to change the turn signal bulb. Push gently on the inside edge and insert a blade between the bumper and the lens at the outside edge. Compress the spring and remove the lens. Fit a new lamp by inserting it into the plug. The side marker light is changed using a similar process.

  • Open the trunk to replace the rear fog light, stop light, tail light, reversing light and turn signal light. Remove the rear light cover and turn the bulb holder fastener 90 degrees counter clockwise. Remove the expired bulb, fit a new one and replace the parts, turning the bulb holder clockwise.

  • Thanks..

    My brake lights arnt working

Sounds like you need a new brake switch which is located on the brake pedal under the dash. It is what send the signal to the rear brake light module.

You can pick one up at any jag dealer.

    Good Luck!

    Jaguar xj6 fog lamp

It's an awkward little job, but you might need to lift the car up to get accsess to the back of the air dam and the light units, then its just a case of a quarter turn on the back of the bulb holder, its the one with the wireing conecion on it!
    The reverse for re fitting.

Verona 2005 fog lights won't work. Fuses are ok, lightbulbs are ok. Fog light switch lites.

Remove the entire foglight assembly check for a loose wire inside the assembly. I had the same problem on mine but it only affected one of the foglights. Also check with a test light at the connector where it connects into the foglight assembly. Also make sure foglight bulbs are properlly tighted.

How do you replace the foglight bulbs on a 2002 vw passat staion wagon

The black plastic grille around the fog lamp can be removed without tools. If you look through the slats, you'll see 5 or 6 "clips" that can be GENTLY released with your finger. Once the grille is out (which is about 4 inches high by about 14 inches long), you'll see that the fog lamp assembly can be removed with 3 screws. Simpler than you probably thought! It's a bit fiddly and after taking out the 3 screws you need to disconnect the electrical connection (push on/off) Then rotate the light assembly until you can pull it out. The assembly is in 2 parts and twists to separate. Don't touch the bulb when replacing as any oil on it will make it blow when it gets hot. It's a lot easier than you think and will save a lot of money (you don't need to pay dealer prices on this one). It took me less than 15 minutes to replace a broken fog assembly and I was taking my time!

99 A4 tali light assmbly missing top bulb passenger side

That's the rear foglight socket. The rear foglight idea is European, and they ship the Audi over with a rear foglight as well, but it's only on the driver's side (that's the way rear fogs are done in Europe). That socket is fully powered though, and wired to the same dash switch as the driver's side rear fog. What you can do (what I did on my 99 A4) was to use a drill and **** out the rectangular opening in the rear taillight panel, and then put a bulb in that socket. Voila, instant dual rear fogs.

This is a good idea because in Europe, the police understand that a rear fog is only on one side. In the US, our police don't always know that, and you may get pulled over if you have that on - they may think you have a blown taillight bulb. Do the dual fog mod as described above - it'll save you the hassle and it looks better too.
