Does the car start up reight away and does it die as soon as you put car in gear? keep me posted

If it dies when you put it in gear its the Torque converter clutch solenoid.(TCC) For this item to function cooling fan must cycle twice, car must be driven above 45 mph and vehicle must be at operating temperatures. If anyone of these items has not occurred the TCC will not engage and the vehicle will not die. This sensor doesn't always give a code. But if you have a check engine lite have it scanned. Usually when this thing fails your at a stop and car dies and you can start it but once you put it in gear it dies. if this is your problem let me know and I'll walk you threw the fix.

The other item that causes this is the main relay

If vehicles dies while driving and doesn't restart right away its the main relay. Its the hottest relay under the dash board. you have to waite for relay to cool down b4 it starts.

You could have a shop check pump pressure - usually the cause is a weak pump or problems with the valve body.
Chances are if you just sit in drive at idle, it will also move on its own in a couple of minutes once the fluid warms up.
I never recommend changing fluid after 100k.

The most likely cause is a bad throttle position sensor (TPS). It's located on the throttle body. With the engine idling, grab the connector on it and move it up and down. If the idle fluctuates it is for sure bad. Otherwise you will need a scanner to properly diagnose your problem.

I do not know about your vehicle but it sounds like a possible lack of lubrication in its gearbox or bearing wear. As things warm up metals expand to free themselves, or low lubricant may take its time to "splosh" up to higher positioned shafts and gears in its box after draining down overnight.
I would check this out urgently as friction can make things weld together (look up friction welding) which should not thus destroying a gearbox.

Hope this helps........

May be your transmission slipping gears. Have someone look at it. Mine did the same thing at 99,700 miles. Good luck.
