General Electical Module is out or going out. May be cause from leaking windshield causing water to get into it.

Check the #15 fuse in fusebox behind marked panel on left lower dash just below and left of steering column. This is only a 5 amp fuse but it controls a lot. This fixed our 2001 Expedition. 25 cents.

Tachometer on 2001 buick park avenue stopped working


You most likely just need the tach repaired, they do fail. There is a company called Speedotach that repairs these as well as others, just google it

Have 1999 Ford Expedition xlt. My gear indicator is messed up, When I am in drive, it shows 2, when i am in park it shows reverse.


This comes straight from the repair manual..
1. Remove the upper steering column cover.
2. Put the shifter in drive position.
3. Move the shift lever clockwise until it stops (all the way to first gear position, then move it back two detent positions to the Drive position.
4. Hang an a weight (something) with 8 pounds of weight on the lever to hold it in place.
5. Center the indicator neddle in the middle of drive position.
6. Rotate the thumbwheel on the bottom of the steering column to remove all slack from the indicator cable.
7 Install the upper steering column cover.

It parks in rev drives in neutral and and so on


So your problem is that the shifter indicator is not correctly aligned? If so look under the dash at the bottom side of the steering wheel, set parking brake, move the gear selector handle and look for the moving part under the dash, this is the indicator cable, it has an adjustment on the mount usually a thumbwheel, the indicator is spring loaded to stay in the park position, use the thumbwheel and adjust the indicator back to P while handle is in park position, then test to see if it is working properly, if you are unable to adjust to proper position the spring unit may be damaged, and it is replaceable by removing the dash, then removing the indicator unit, I would just get one from a wrecking yard from a wrecked Expedition and adjust to your vehicle. Ford Expedition 2001 that wont shift out of Park


Shift Interlock System
The shift interlock system prevents the shifting from PARK unless the brake pedal (2455) is depressed. The shift interlock system consists of a shift lock actuator (3Z719) mounted at the base of the steering column tube (3514). If the ignition switch (11572) is in the RUN position, the shift lock actuator is continually on unless the brake pedal is depressed.

Thier is also the shift lock actuator ! plus wiring . You have a short to ground on that circuit . Do you know how to Find a short ? videos on youtube .
None of the power windows work ? Check for broken wires inside the rubber boot from the body to drivers door !

Remote starter


Apparently the vehicle was in park enough to get the key out, but not enough to get it to turn to start or allow the remote starter to work. Once it had been jiggled around and put ALL the way into the PARK position, all works well again!

1998 Ford Expedition air struts keep deflating.


You can check it for a leak by getting into vehicle and close the door.Turn ignition switch to on position and shift the gear shifter to neutral.You will hear the compressor turn on.Once compressor turns on put back into park,leave ignition on and exit vehicle.Compressor will turn off when you open door but will turn back on after you close it. Now listen at each corner to see if you can hear where your leak is.
